(USA-GA) Therapy Development Specialist, DRG

The DRG Therapy Development Specialist provides technical, clinical, educational and sales support to ensure safe adoption and growth of the St. Jude Medical Axium System and neuromodulation technologies. The DRG Therapy Development Specialist works closely with implanting teams and the Chronic Pain Therapy field organizations to drive procedural and practice success. • Technical and Clinical Expertise: Provide clinical expertise for DRG implanting centers, and providing technical support in accordance with the instructions for use/trial protocol, and best-practices to facilitate procedural consistency and best clinical outcomes. • Educational Support: Provide support for site performance and to facilitate safe growth. Assist in education and training activities with physicians, support staff and St. Jude Medical personnel. Stay abreast of and communicate clinical data regarding DRG and SCS products. • Sales Support: Post approval, collaborate and strategize with territory sales representative in achieving sales targets and implementing business plans. • Therapy and Market Development:Supporting and developing strategic implanting centers and educating referring physicians on indications for DRG stimulation. *Impact this role will have on St. Jude Medical:* * Therapy expert on Dorsal Root Ganglia stimulator technology device implantation, technology, patient indications, patient selection, reimbursement, and programming. * Implement DRG quarterly plan to achieve regional sales plan. * Educate physicians, nurses, educators, and other referral sources on the indications and selection of patients that are candidates for DRG therapy. * Work directly with patients. * Provide product and therapy technical support and service, including consultation at staff in-services and physician seminars. * Coordinate/deliver/implement programs and resources at the local level to facilitate market expansion and DRG therapy access. * Provide market intelligence for fine-tuning of therapy training and expansion plans. * Oversee local education and training activities including coordination and set up procedure simulators, facilitation of simulated DRG procedures and procedural troubleshooting, and coordination and facilitation of staff in-services to include pre/peri/post DRG procedure. * Build and maintain relationship with referral sources to grow and establish a healthy base of business. * Work with Territory Manager counterparts in market planning prioritization and tactic implementation to achieve/exceed regional sales targets. * Sets goals, ensures that they are met and is responsible for continuous process improvement. * Develop and maintain comprehensive clinical and technical product knowledge. Understands current published DRG RCT and relevant literature. Recognize and understand competitive products, industry trends, and Chronic Pain Therapies portfolio. Liaison with marketing for technology improvements and next generation needs. * Complete administrative reporting as assigned. * Exercises judgment in planning and organizing work; monitors performance and reports status. * Uses best business practices to ensure success and cost effectiveness in areas of responsibility. * Ensures employee compliance with St. Jude Medical/USD policies and practices. *Your experience(s), education and knowledge will further expand St. Jude Medical’s marketplace success:* * Bachelors degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent or equivalent. * A comprehensive ability to analyze and evaluate technologically complex devices; * Ability to work with others effectively; * Ability to prepare and present effectively written and verbal communications. * Thorough familiarity with medical device industry policies, operations and procedures. * Documented record of delivering strategic marketing information * Expert verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. * Demonstrated working knowledge of frequently used personal computer programs and applications, such as, Microsoft Office. * This position requires a considerable amount of business travel. *Your preferred qualifications and education:* * Professional training/education certification or designation. * An advanced and comprehensive understanding of spinal cord stimulation technology. * * *Qualifications:*/Describe the minimum education and experience, including knowledge, skills and abilities, required to successfully perform the job. List any certificates, license, and/or registrations required./ / / *Required:* * Bachelor’s Degree or related experience. * Minimum 3 yrs. field sales experience. * Minimum 3 yrs. clinical experience in a sales environment. * * *Desired:* * Prior medical device, business to business or pharmaceutical sales experienced highly preferred. * Knowledge of active implantable or hernia repair products and therapies * Preference given to local candidates. * Demonstrable success in previous employment indicated by high level of sales performance. * Must demonstrate deep understanding of the customer to drive and challenge status quo. * Demonstrated experience in making multiple referral calls on a daily basis * Proven job skills in business planning/consulting. * Ability to execute sales tactics in a complex, multi-faceted environment. * Excellent interpersonal, communication, teaching, and negotiation skills; team oriented, * Ability to exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. * Must successfully complete training. / / **Job:** **SL-Field Support* **Title:** *Therapy Development Specialist, DRG* **Location:** *Georgia* **Requisition ID:** *150001VP*
